Fundamentals
From number systems and logic gates to counters, flip-flops, and the design of sequential circuits.
01 / About
Dr. Weiqiang Sun is a professor in the School of Integrated Circuits / School of the Information and Electronic Engineering. My work connects network architectures, network and data modeling. I have also contributed to IETF standards for optical network performance measurement, including RFC 6777 and RFC 5814.
I founded SJTU-Health, an online health management platform now serving more than 10,000 members of the SJTU community.
I also created the Agentic Network Planner (ANP), an agentic platform for network planning and design that serves researchers and practitioners around the world.
02 / Teaching
I teach students to design and analyze complex engineering systems with systems thinking.
From number systems and logic gates to counters, flip-flops, and the design of sequential circuits.
Queueing systems, random access, switching, routing, and system modeling.
03 / Research
Our group works across network architecture, optical and social systems that connect, and data modeling.
Models and algorithms for converged infrastructures where distributed compute, energy, and transport can be orchestrated as one system.
Low-cost, high-performance architectures for AI datacenters, from modular optical fabrics to reliable WDM rings.
Using sparse activity signals and behavioral patterns to design more useful, personal digital health services.
